XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi,

sometimes ago (time of the first pivot ball T1 ) we all played a little bit with front track width. These days I always see especially the tamiya guys playing with spacers in the front wheels to change track width on their cars (evoIII, TRF 415).

Do you see any sense trying this on a carpet race with factory kit (XCR chassis plate) and CS22 and in which changes will an increase in front track width result (more understeer , on and/or off-power ).

Yes, there is some value in playing around with the front track width. Making the front track width wider will reduce steering and more importantly reduce the chance that the car will suffer traction rolls when entering the corner. (wish I'd thought of that this weekend )

we are talking about a wider track in a range of 1mm (0,5mm spacers on both sides or less then this

tony: where did you race and is a setup sheet from you on tsn.com already available?

I raced in Swifterbant this weekend (middle of the Netherlands). Did not post the setup yet and need to write the race report asap. Just keep your eye on the news section...
