shock bladders

hi

I have gone to rebuild my shocks and have found that all the bladders are split

is this a common and if so how do you get around it

yes the ring of the bladder was separate from the bladder like in two parts

I've only had it happen a couple of times in 5 years, and I run several sets of shocks for my cars.

Is there a chance you damaged them when building the shocks?
