As promised here's a pic from of the underside of the chassis using the JConcepts Illuzion Finnisher Xray XB9 Body part #0244

As you can see there was just a big enough gap to add the velcro to keep dirt out.

And here's a few shots of our finished cars with very elaborate paint jobs done :lol:

That's what you get when painting in the wee hours of the night trying to get them done in time for some practice

the pictures of the car on line.. shows that the front tower has 4 camber link holes.. which is the new tower.. even on the website.. says that teh rear has the holes for the optional longer rear chassis brace.

Guys.....the towers are NEW for the XB9E which is an updated and new version of the 808E !

The XB9 got new updated towers for the XB9 '12 and then again for the XB9 '13 spec.

The XB9E uses the same towers as the XB9 '12 and the towers from the XB9 '13 are optional extras.

I know they are easily mixed up due to all being named XB9 but the updates and improvements listed for the XB9E are indeed
just that.......updates and improvements from the previous 808E :wink:

And just to put your mind at ease......the XB9E handles and drives VERY well :mrgreen:

Good point, same what I said earlier this month: Yes, they use only the nitro chassis, yes, the towers are '12, but the car handles way better than the 808e that I really don't care about it anymore.

With the Nitro chassis, there is one big advantage: Most of the nitro parts fit for the elo-version, including the center drive shafts. So, it might be easier to get spare parts because most of the dealers have plenty of nitro parts, but not always 808e parts...that's history.
