XB9e Body and chassis

@Sven;

I noticed the supplementary sheet tells you to use the standard XB9 instructions.

Can you (or someone from Xray) confirm that the XB9E uses the '13 spec hubs/knuckles and shock towers or is it based off the 2012 XB9 with the "old" geometry ?

Hello,

Shocktowers and chassis plate are '12, remaining part are '13 (including the M5 knuckles).

I feel the urge the look up the difference between '12 and '13 shock towers :oops:

The #359705 808E body fits on the XB9E with no modification in case the standard LiPo battery packs are used. For the extra large packs the front of the body must be little updated. The new XB9E body is in production.

Well.....the RC8.2E Finnisher body doesn't line up at all

The XB9E have very straight long chassis sides while the RC8.2E body tapers both in the front and early in the rear resulting in huge gaps when placed on the Xray chassis.

So which buggy out there have long straight chassis sides with minimal taper to them :?:

Need to find a body that fits decent in order for us to get to test drive them this weekend.

Nobody has the 808E body in stock as this is regarded a discontinued model

I have the 808e and i put the FTW 808 body on and it fits fine. Had to raise the front body mount a little so the battery can clear the motor rubs a little in the back (it did on the stock one to) but it works. Well.......some good news

The JConcepts Illuzion Finnisher Xray XB9 Body part #0244 is almost a 100% direct fit :mrgreen:

By just shimming the front body mount a few millimeters up it barely touches the battery straps (not the battery itself).
This is using dual hard case 7.4V IP7200mAh/80C stick packs.

You can follow the original cut lines and just clearance slightly on the right side for the steering linkage/servo saver.

With velcro on the bottom of the body and along the chassis sides it fits almost 100% :mrgreen:

That looks awesome.. Do you have any pictures of the Motor mount and the adapter that bolts onto the motor?
