XRAY - Model racing cars

Hello,

after 4L onroad to break-in engines and then 2.5L offroad at race-tune the center outdrives were ready for recycling. Could it be that the debris of the racing brake pads harmed the center outdrives and center pins THAT hard? I mean 2.5L of race-tune is no distance.

Any info or experiences from those who also run the tuning brake pads or just generell info on this is much appreciated.

This is the front center driveshaft after 4L easy rolling on asphalt and 2.5L offroad.

thats weird.. i got alot of racing on my car.. and i got more wear on the center diff drive cups than the center shafts.

Previously I ran a '09 XB808 and I only changed the shaft pins once and all was and still is in absolute great conditions.

If you change the pins (that are wanted to wear to save the rest) too late then you have some run-up play for the drivetrain that means torque is hammering in instead of pushing in. In this case the whole drivetrain will start wearing out faster.
I started this topic because I though that there could have been a coherence between that fast wear of the center cups/pins and the debris of the tuning brake pads. On my 808 I used the CFK discs and their debris doesn't harm as you can use graphite powder as dry lube in other cases.

To me that means that when I use the tuning brake pads (BTW: awesome braking and control), I'll check the drivetrain much earlier than normal to play it safe. That's fine with me.
