Xray T4 motor help

Hey guys I just recently picked up my T4 and currently in the middle of the build . The car is awsome and is going together nicely ....no complaints .

Anyways I am going to be running a 17.5 turn blinky class with the car at my local track ....I am here to ask you guys what is the best 17.5 turn motor that you have used or are currently running .

Just out on the hunt for a motor so I would just like to hear some feed back on what you guys think on the 17.5 turn motors and what would be best . I am running on carpet if that makes any difference .

Pick up a Trinity D3.5, it's what most people are running these days.

Hello,

The trinity d3 motors are perfect But have a long rotor/shaft.
In my t4 The rotor is so long it touches The lipo battery.
I need to shim THE motor with a 1 or 1.5 mm shim to fit.

Sweet I think I am going to go with the team epic i have been hearing great things about it ...

on another note what are you guys running for your spur and pinion for the 17.5 class on your t4's ?

The ORCA TX has been getting good results too.

A good starting point for gear ratio should be around 5.0:1 for 17.5T blinky.

use kit spur and a 32 pinion for 4.99

If 64 pitch is used try 100 spur with 37 pinion.
