I'd guess that the price in the US won't change much from the FK04 price, but with the change in price here in the UK it will make buyers think twice about importing as it wont be any cheaper after you include P&P and taxes if caught on import.
The price previously for the FK04 (£349.99 or approx US$629.99) could be significantly beaten by importing from the US or Asia.[/list]

From street prices seen on the FK and projected pricing on the FK05 it looks like the US price may be rising about the same percentage that the UK price is dropping...

People lok at straight dollar exchange and don't realise that federal taxes, duties and tariffs are quite often charged and rolled into the shlf price for items. you quickly learn this lesson when purchasing overseas and getting a LARGE bill from customs

one off the price differences in cars/parts is that we pay lots of taxes in Europe. In Holland we have 19% tax, in Germany 16% and in the UK ( if iám not mistaken ) also 16% and those taxes make a lot of difference.

very true Frans H tax in uk is 17.5% and only 6-8% in most US states. What about shipping, its a lot further to US than to the UK?

Prices listed in the US do not include state taxes (butwould include any import taxes or tariffs)...

Here in Ontario, Canada we have to pay 15% tax (8% provincial 7% federal) on top of the sticker price on all goods...

Goods shipped outof state/province are not normally charged Tax though....
