Hi,

I think regarding power, torque and runtime there's nothing like GM/Graupner in case you want to try a world record run :-). But I didn't like the way how to program it (always with notebook/netbook) so I now try the Orion R10 Pro 2-3s set. My two favorites were Orion and Orca but Orca is "quite hard" to order at the moment here.

I think that no competition speedo lags on performance in fact. And you really could have clones starting from 70,-. Maybe there're differences in how well the products can deal with the generated heat. GM/Graupner i.e. are known for low temps no matter what.

I only would take care of running speedo and motor from the same brand.

The guys at our track are very happy with that speedo (SXX2?). The X12 motors are great, too, but are running hot (at least hotter than others) as all LRP motors but it seems that they could handle the heat other than the older X11 series. I was adviced to not run the X11 over 70°C when I was running one.

I've been running my X12 5.5 (non-octa) since 2010 at 80-90 Celsius, still runs with good power.

I heard they shouldn't go above 100 Celsius on the back end of the can.
