XRAY - Model racing cars

I have placed an order for a XB808E kit for track use. I'm coming from nitro and this will be my first electric and, I have a lot to learn, but I'm curious to what size motor works best for the 808E in a track environment with 4s lipos. I originally was looking at the Tekin RX8 ESC/Motor Combo 2050kV, but was told by another that I should go wtih the 2250kV. I was checking out the Tekin site and it states "buggy" for 2050kV and "truggy" for 2250kV. Was I passed incorrect info on the 2250kV set-up? Thanks.

knowone? what kV would be best in the XB808E on 4s lipo for track only?

The Tekin 1900 is the best motor for 4 cell lipo. I ave the 2050 and 1900, the 2050 needs a smaller pinion gear and is a bit aggressive. The 1900 is smooth.

I use a 4500mah Turnigy 4 cell hard case pack. I added longer screws and spaced the battery plate up a little higher. It's about 1/4" above the chassis. I also ground down the tops of the sidepod bolts for better clearance.

Yeah, this is the battery I run. Got 4 of them, killed one when I cooked it from a drivetrain failure.

what steering servo are you guys using. I think I seen a team driver with a KO Propo 30100, but I could be mistaken. I only have experience with Hitec servos.

I use less than 3000mah in a 7min qual. If I'm smooth I can go 10 minutes. 10 minutes is all my electronics can handle. I'm running a POS Tekin RX8. It throws a fan blade off for every 20 minutes of track time. If I push it beyond 10 min it'll heat up and catch on fire.

A good starting gear is 17t pinion for the 2050, 18t for the 1900.

I use Hitec 7955's in everything. Still by far the best servo out there. They aren't as fast as my nitro XB9 that sends 8.4v to them, but they're close enough at 6v. And they're so powerful that they don't slow done muuch under load.
