well i glued the barrel into the top part of the servo saver where it locates to stop it rotating..something i always do,maybe thats why mine was easy to do.

and i also fit a thin shim onto the servo saver just where the spring sits, this lets the spring slide easier.

On the servo saver we are drilling and tapping a 2.5mm screw through the upper plastic and aluminum barrel. You must get the screw to the length so it does not go into the tube too far. use a little Loctite and you will be good to go.
It is annoying when it slips.
Hope this helps,
TEX

Hi guys

Be really carefull with the servo saver. It seems there is a mistake inthe manual with the measurement. You have to tight in order to get 6 or 7mm, not much or you will get severe servo problems...

I thought 10 mm was just way to much. And that it would be a miss print in the manual. :D

Good idea! Me, I just round cyano glue on top of the plastic part, just in the gap between the aluminum tower and the plastic. Then, it doesn't spin anymore.

Hello, everyone, I'm building my first xray kit and it happens to be an XB9 8) .
I was checking the setup sheets and was wondering how much different between the manual default setup and this base setup xform/index.php?act=view&ID=69&setup=xb9 ? The local track I would be running on should be close to the condition described in the sheet. thx.

In my opinion you should really start with the basic set-up from the kit and then move to the other one to evaluate it!

Regards

The 'updated' manual still says 10mm pre-load when I downloaded it just now - think some other errors have been corrected but would be nice to know it's all correct before I start building mine when it arrives tomorrow lol
