Well, the P-5 that i put in was already broken in and raced. I thought that i needed to break in the car, so after the initial handling problems I still drove the car a lot. After about 1/4 gallon, i rebuilt the diffs with fresh fluid 5-7-1. I have now put about 1 gallon through the car, with no changes in the ill handling.

I thought about the servo differences, and our servos are very close in speed and torque. I checked the specs on them.

I have tried a lot of stuff with no results. I thought that i maybe filled the diffs with the wrong fluids, but after i rebuilt them, still no help.

I drove it again yesterday, the car doesn't feel like it settles. Like it skates on top of the track surface. And yesterday was a hot dusty day, so the track was slick, with made the car feel even more loose.

Try increasing the rear diff fluid to 2K and slowing down your steering servo speed on your Tx just a little. You should only make one change at a time so I would start with the 2K and if it's still not exactly where you want,.. slow the steering servo down. It's not uncommon to use 2K or 3K in the rear diff. My current diff fluids are 5K- 7k-2K with no orings.

Hey Rasta his initial set up was 5, 7, 2. I have driven his car and it handles really really badly compared to mine. I have no idea what could be causing it. I can't even go down the straightaway without the car wanting to do a 360. I've never experienced anything like it. I have his car now and I'm going to go over it tonight in case it's the simplest thing we may have wrong. It is puzzling me for sure.

Hey Rasta, tried both of them too!!

U think i got a lemon??
Me and my friends cars are the EXACT same, and when driven, by the same person, drive completely different!!

For Example-
Let's say you wanted another car as a spare, so you bought another XB8 kit and built it EXACTLY like the car you are currently racing. But the new kit drives NOTHING like your regular car. That's the situation that i'm in.

Check out the opening message, and you'll see what i mean.

Keep thinkin Rasta. Maybe bermyboy will be lucky and see something.

Well you can't use the lemon law on this. We all start with the same box of parts.
Given the variables are the same,..Engine, servo's, pipes, tires etc...

...And the radio and radio settings are the same, including servo speeds, types, and epa's, etc... (not as easy as written unless you use your buddy's radio)

The biggest unknown is who built it, how it was built, and how it's set up,... i.e. digital calipers used during the build process.

I myself plan on buying a HUDY set up station when my wifes not looking. I'm not saying YOU should buy one. But there is something,...however minor it may be, that we are missing in our attempt to help you. A setup station is more accurate that a combination of seperate tools.
Don't worry,.. I'll bet you go,.."OOOOHHHH that's what we missed" we just have to find it.

Even with a marginal set up a Kyosho handles like a kyosho, and Mugen like a Mugen, and an XB8 like an XB8.

Well, Bermyboy and i built it, the same way he built his kit, digital calipers and camber gauges were used. That's why it's so confusing.

Well, i've stared at the car long enough, maybe another set of eyes (bermyboy) will help.

It probably is something small that we have looked over, but the problem is finding where the problem is.
