Today my rear belt broke, it was 2 positions softer then initial instruction manual position (max. loose). The front belt was in middle position. It happened after 15-20 batteries on 10.5T boosted. Should I try to tighten the front belt, because in theory a bit more power should go to the front belt?

Off topic: how many teeth does the 189 mm rear belt have?

Well guys, after talk to Martin Hudy, I tried to use the rear belt 1 step tensioned.
Just one ok? Middle to 1 step.
I ran 3 batteries (something like 36 minutes) and my belt is ok.
No harm at all.
I will continue the test next week and keep you posted.

If you've tried everything and it fails, get a BD-5 rear belt.

When your belts broke, did they snap suddenly or did they look bad from the beginning? When my belt snapped, almost from the first battery is looked very worn out (from the sides) and after 15 batteries it snapped. My friend runs his belt in the middle position and has no problems so far, when I get my belt I will try it this way.

Flávio, posso estar falando besteira, mas acho que o bumpers da Caar ajudam bastante a estourar correias.
Sabemos que com o gerdiff as correias sofrem um pouco mais, isso aliado aos bumpers... é pancada atras de pancada na correia!

Hi guys

Just got my t3 2012 done and I'll be going to test it soon.

With all the rear belt questions going on, just want to ask what is the best position to place it ( middle, tighter or looser) for a asphalt track, 13.5 with boost, low to medium traction?

Well guys, no more problem after the Martin Hudy's tip
I'm using the gear diff one step tight and my rear belt was ok.
Problem solved!

All the xray drivers at our club have all switched to the yokomo bd-189L belt, and have had no problems since. Much stronger, and you can run at maximum loose setting with no issue. The standard belt breaks too easily, will need to be modified next year. Running the belt tighter is not an option in 17.5 blinky you loose too much top end speed.
