XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi,

sometimes when the alu bulkhead is not mounted perfectly, it can cause this. I know that you make it according to manual, but through is that I could add note that "when the toe-in differs, untight the bulkhead into the right direction and while holding it, tight the screw"

after a very successful weekend at the South African Nationals I'm actually going to order another Xray T3 2012 for racing in 21.5 blinky. i have some questions regarding the chassis:

1. How free is the drive train with the current set of bearings? or should i change to something else? In 21.5 drive train is key.
2. Would the standard setup work? I made some changes to the standard setup in 17.5 with 1mm of anti squat and a 1mm of kickup the whole weekend and it worked ok - i think i was overdriving it as the backend was a little loose. also removed some rear top deck screws.
3. Do you think for the 21.5 class i could/should cut ever second tooth from the belt?
4. How do i stretch the rear belt, my 17.5 cars belt is a little tight on the loose setting at it is.

1. The drive train is very free, in fact one of the best on the market. You only need to add a few drops of bearing oil to the standard bearings and you are good to go racing in any class. If you want you can purchase the optional ceramic bearing set for a longer lifetime of the bearings (#309002).

2. The standard setup is designed for the average customer, and therefore has not too much steering but is mainly easy to drive to have a good feeling on any track. As you already have found out yourself, you may have to adjust it seemingly to suit your liking or to perform under some certain condition where for example more front end traction is needed.

3. I don't think that you should modify the belt in any way.

4. It will get looser as you run it. A brand new belt may seem a tad too tight, even in the loosest setting Give it some time to strech out.

What is the new Xray going to look like?

Probably like the T3 -2012 with a few minor modifications and cosmetic changes - then in 3 months time there will be a load of upgrades
