Hy all,

by my Driveshafts every time the screw M3x2,5 is lossened and the pin 2x10 moves out.
I take every time thread lock, but mostly some screw is lossened after few rounds.
I had the Problem by the 2011 and now by the 2012 also. :P
What should i do?
Has anybody the same problem?
I think i take the Dremel and made a little flat surface, but then the pin is weakened, and my 5.0 motor has much power.
Maybe someone can help me by my problem.

thx a lot
Christian

I use the pins which have a flat spot as standard, or I use a Dremel like yourself.
It shouldn't weaken the pin too much as the small grub screw is only to stop the pin moving.

Part Number 305392

the "top" brand of pins are much better, they have a much more obvious flat spot. Had no problems since changing to these.

I grind a flat with a Dremel, and Loctite (or superglue) the grub screw in (with a VERY small amount of Loctite - otherwise you'll glue the joint up as well :? ). To remove, heat the joint up carefully with a gas lighter to burn the Loctite off.

I've never had driveshaft pins coming loose after that.

Put some heat shrink around the shaft, works for me as even if the screw loosens it won't fall out and trash the hub.
