Hi, Iam looking at getting 2 x 385000 gear diffs for my m18 pro lipo. 1 for the front and 1 for the rear. Is this ok? and what oil is bet suited for front and rear? Thanks

I would recommend not using gear diffs. Your downgrading as it were. The gear diffs wont last as long with the additional punch of a lipo while a balldiff though should not slip, has more "give" and can be adjusted. The geardiffs are not oil filled/sealed.

Thanks Mini Me! Im not a fan of always adjusting ball diffs. So if i was to run gear diffs front and rear will the m18 still drive well even tho they might not last as long?

Not really. They have no oil in them so they freely turn. So you cant adjust your traction by adjusting your diff.

If you break in the ball diffs per the directions, they should last a long time. Always keep the front diff a little tighter than the rear as well.

With the 1st batch of M18 models the front geardiff was adjustable. A construction with a screw, nut and spring in the place of just a pin did have some ajustabel settings which do work!
