Post subject: | Xray fuel tanks |
has any one else had massive problems with thier xray fuel tanks. i have had nothig but problems with random engine cuts and air in the fuel line not the pressure line. I have had all three types v1 v2 v3 and had all the same preoblems. i have scince put a hot bodies d8 fuel tank in with a clunck filter and it has cured all these problems. and the engine will run up side down for longer jordan |

In my experience air in the lines is caused by the way they have thier pick up. If I carry the car by the wing nose angled down to ground it will get air in the lines. So now my pit mama and my self carry the car more horazontal. If on my lid I burp the engine ever so slightly not rev it till a corner flips me. Sometimes if I take off hard I do get lean bog. There is nothing wrong with the tank, it just has no clunk and I never flamed out over it. Just small burps till you get flipped. Dont rev the engine it speeds up the process. You engine should idle on its lid for about 30 secs before a flame out occurs. If less you tuning is off. |

Thanks for the photos. I was told by another swedish driver that he was using the same HB tank as You have and I will also go for it next season. And about the body paintwork You´ve done. Here´s a photo of my "soon to be" body for the 808. Thought it looked kind of familiar... |
