Can anyone give me a true description as of to what the difference is between the 120 and 90 active diff segments. I know the 120 is immediate response and the 90 is delayed, and I've read the recommended use. But what is the true difference? Why would you want a delay? Or why would you want the immediate response? |

The 120 degree plates can increase on power steering if its aggressive on power steering. Like a wide hairpin turn where you get on the throttle very hard after apex. Like haveing thick fluid in the front diff. But in a long smooth sweeper where your holding partial throttle, you may be better off with 90 degree segments. Can you post your setup sheet? |

So.... What segments would i want to run? The 2 tracks that I spend most of my time at are very different, but neither fit the conditions described in the manual of the Active diff. The AD calls out setups for smooth/slippery or rough/high traction. I run on either smooth/high traction or rough/slippery. With the 90 segments on the smooth/high traction track I feel like there is an unpredictable delay on the tun in at the corners with the AD and on the rough/slippery track I cant even really tell a difference between the AD and the normal diff. I actully stopped using the AD and just went to the 41T regular diff and found I like that better on both tracks. But I never got the 120 segments for the AD. Should I bee looking at the 120 segments? |
