hello guys, just a small question about a driving skill, i just got back from my first international race the 2009 FEMCA....i've learned alot over there and i've seen alot, well, the thing that i noticed is the way, team/top drivers controled their cars in the air by steering !!!! i just want to know the theory of this skill, i mean, where do you have to steer to correct the car in the air??!! one guy steers all the time in the air (kenji OSAKA) , he steers so fast that you cannot understand whats he doing, the only thing you see is his car flying straight after he steers. i think he uses a 9 channels (airplane) TX ![]() cheers and thanx for your help in advance. I'm not a team driver but i've heard it brings the car down quicker ![]() I think it's just showing off myself however, it does bring the car straight if you go into a jump at an angle, or with the car loaded up on one side and your going to hit the ground on one front wheel. Steer into the dive and it should save you. Look at the neo 09 video ( on neobuggy.net) where Darren Bloomfield has the lead with Tebo right up behind him. He does that wheel wiggling and from that angle looks like it causes the crash. |

If your car isn't flying level, say right side is too low. Turn right and maybe giveit a little gas. Should straighten right out. If your jumpis in the middle of a turn, obviously your not going to fly level. So if your car tips sideways on a jump in the middle of a turn, treat it like the car was fishtailing and just counter steer. |

The gyro effect is what helps to altar the cars flight path. if you have a tire balancer, you can feel the effect, or force that a rotating tire has when you turn it in your hand. |

"sequence jumping on curves, treat like drifting/fishtailing (counter steering). " eventually on any jump your mind will automatically think "fishtail" when a side drops. I think the best way to under stand it is: If your going straight and hit a bump with the left side of the car that throws the car up on its two right tires, its rideing along balenced on its right side like an old knightrider flick, if you turn right the car flops back down to earth, turn left and it flips all the way over. |
