XRAY - Model racing cars

I just got a used 808. Where the bearings go on the pinion there was a big aluminum looking spacer that was between the 2 bearings. In the insrutions and supplemnt sheet there is no info of this piece. Wondering if Im suppose to use it or not?

This is a new part on the 09 spec buggies.... most people with the older 808 have upgraded to this to improve bearing wear.

The part number is 352075 - if you have a look at the supplementary instructions for the 09 spec it tells you not to undo the screws retaining the bearing, but to leave them done up, which is a change to what your manual is likely to say. They're not massive threads, so don't go mad on them - but they should be snug.
