XRAY - Model racing cars

Jan, I have run the 2009 XT8 very hard and almost daily the last 6 weeks, pushing the XT8 as hard as possible, and attending 5 racing events during this time, this is what I have found so far. I hope this information is most helpful.

Suggestions,
Maybe a little stronger suspension arms if possible.
A threaded pivot pin with a locking nut instead of, the current Rear Lower outer pivot pin .
Stronger ( thicker)Body shell.
Longer shock boots for the rear.
Higher grade bolts ( especially the small ones)

Likes,
Ease of chassis tuning
Hudy Steel parts
Tramendous ballance in the air after a jump.
The size of bearings
Ease of maintenance

Sorry about that I was referring to the XT8 2009 spec. I had listed alot of these items last year but everytime that I gave feedback, Rocco felt necessary to defend the shortcomings of the truck. I am glad to see Xray make this move. Xray is second to none when it comes to quality. Everyone should give their feedback now, every detail. I look forward to buying future Xray models that reflect quality and brilliant performance on the track.

Likes:
1. Unbelievably durable suspension
2. Easy to work on
3. Excellent longevity
4. Easy to tune (XB8 05-07) had to many options
5. No unnecessary/frivolous parts/features

Changes:
1. More stable handling (Hotbodies D8 is easier to drive)
2. Diff pinion bearing reliability equal to old XB8 platform
3. Smoother/more linear brakes (stock is good, but it would be nice to have Xray set the world standard for smooth braking)
4. 8x16mm outer wheel hub bearings
5. uhhhhh....reaching here...lol....new innovations in the realm of aerodynamics to increase grip/stability. Front wings? Additions to the body, new fr shock tower shapes for less drag, etc. Something practical and something that actually offers a real advantage.
6. Almost forgot this! Sealed CV joints all around, especially at the front diff input because this joint wears out very fast!!!!

XT8: (not running truggy much this year, only a few times, so not much here)

Changes:
1. 808 PLATFORM!!!!
2. More corner speed

I'd love to see new super fast guy added to the US team so we can see more Xray's in the top ten over here in North America. Steal Cavalieri!!!

3. Easy to set-up/unlike other cars with too many set-up options.
4. Captured pins/caster blocks idea(composite)...work great and last
5. Easy to work on

Didn't like:
1. Fuel tank...would prefer with a clunk
2. Use longer/thicker screws for radio tray
3. Use thicker or 2 screws for attaching alloy front chassis brace on steering plate(carbon)
4. Use larger bearings on outer hub site and diff cases
5. Brake linkage is not user friendly...you should get in front of the competition on this with newer design.

One more thing -

Where are XRAY's promotion videos? Most other companies make on-track videos of their new cars to market them effectively. I haven't seen much on the XRAY, search XT8 2009 on YouTube and find nothing - Search Losi 8ight 2.0 or MBX6T and there's a heap of videos. Hopefully you guys can take all of this constructive criticism.
