I just put my second race on the C5Q. As I get more time on it, I'm liking it more and more. It's very smooth and revvy with the right pipe on it. It feels like it has a different, but better powerband than the M5 with better fuel mileage.

Jason just got his C5Q's up and going, hopefully he can chime in give his opinions!

From the one's we've sold the customers have actually called us and told us how happy they are with them!

Yes I have got mine going and I was pretty darn impressed.

I am currently running the 2017 Max Power Pipe with it and the motor has a ton of torque, my car was pulling wheelies coming out of corners, and the strait away was not super long where I was running it so I never got to see the full top end but it was climbing allright.

Also I was running the 15t clutch bell so bottom end was awesome! I will be headed to the RC Pro Finals in November and I know the straitaway is going to be over 200ft so I'm going to go to the 2036 Max Pipe wich is a top end pipe and also I'm going to run the 17 tooth clutch bell and I know it will still have more than enough bottom end.

I did however find out that is was much easier to tune with a hotter plug (like a MC 9 or 59) the Nova 6 that it came with was a little touchy for me. But also I race in Houston where it stays a bit more humid so hotter plugs are what we usally run here.

Overall I think the motor is great and I know from the past models they should last and run strong for a long time.

Next though I am going to try the JP-4 and see how it compares.

Hope this helps,

Jason

Low - It should be just as sensitive as other motors. I want to try some carbon shoes with this Sirio pipe, see what happens with those. Every time I have tried them I have IMMEDIATELY gone back to the stock equipment, haha.

Daryl - Some basic specs should be on the Max website (). I'll snap some pics of a NIB motor if you'd like.

Matt (or anybody) - We just got our second shipment of them, so you can give us a call, I'll be sure to give anybody from this forum a more than fair deal on one. But we just shipped some to Amainhobbies who should have them listed on their website soon.

You can also give Mike's a shout and order one if you're coming down this way.

Daryl - Sorry I should have been more specific, the Max 21 3 Port Racer is the same block as the C5Q.

Check out:

The differences being the C5Q has a hand cut 5 port sleeve and a diamond coated crank that has been cut and filled with putty.
