hi all i just got my 808 today and i love it however i just had a custom shell painted for my ec and is cut out to fit the ec i have been told that it will fit the 808 but the rear body mount hole is about 20mm out and if i move the rear mount foward it doesnt look to nice i think i will have to bite the bullet and get a 808 shell painted up does anyone wanna buy the ec shell |

i would say just use it mate you'll never get what you paid for it so might aswell enjoy the shell yourself or atelast use it as a practise shell. you wont see the bodged parts when its out on track anyway lol when the 808 first come out allot of people where using there EC shells for a while. |

I made my EC shell work on the 808 for a while before I got the 808 body painted. Not perfect, but it worked. |

Space the rear body mount out with either a small nut or a plastic spacer until you get the 2009 upgrade kit, which includes an extended rear body mount. People did this to stop the shells cracking, so ovaling the hole forward is a good thing as it also helps prevent the shell cracking. My old EC shell had 2 front holes drilled in it as it came pre-drilled for the stock mounts, but the front one was much further back on mine. It's not noticeable once it's on the car |
