Not really an idea there but you would have to put the shim inbetween the motor mount and the motor(not the motor mount and the chasis) and get longer screws to make up the the shim/shims you have to add. I don't have a picture so its kind of hard to know exactly what youre doing. |

That is an image of the motor with the mount below it. Where I circled the mount in yellow is what I have already ground down some so it will fit in front of the backing plate. The issue I am still dealing with is the fact that the mount itself doesn't sit low enough to bolt to the chassis. So far, I have attempted using washer to space it down which I believe will work. My other thought is since the motor is rtr in the Losi 8ight, I could use their motor mounts, but its an Xray and would rather keep Xray gear. Thanks |

Hello all, So I received those Losi motor mounts today. While the mounts do fit the motor, the mounting holes are way different and would require me to drill the chassis and make a new set. I really don't want to do that just yet. I do have another thought however, and I was wondering if anyone could possibly give me a little information. Since the problem I am having is that the motor doesn't sit up tall enough, I was wondering if the XB808 mounts might be taller than the XB8 mounts. I can modify them the same way I did my XB8 mounts thus far, but if they have the height, that would also work. If not, I am just going to go ahead and try the spacer idea and see how that works out for me. All and any information is appreciated. Thanks. |

The area you have highlighted can this be cut or dremeled off to allow it to mount in correct manor. If so does it give enough clearance for the pull start section on the chassis. Other than that its allot of work trying to get this to fit & consider selling engine & gettinig a non pull start type, sorry a little costly unless you have a machine shop to adapt.. |
