you can use some stuff called Duct Seal, you can get it at Home Depot in the electrical section. Its made to seal conduit I believe. I use it for balancing wheels too. It comes in a 1lb "bar" and is pretty sticky stuff but if you want to seal out water and dust that stuff would do the trick. |

Man, duct seal would be REALLY heavy to seal the box. Just pick up some liquid gasket stuff, it dries very quickly, peals off easily and is easy to reapply. Heck and last FOREVER because we use so little of it. I use this around the base of my diff cases, back plate on my motor, where the base of the carb meets the motor and the screw that secures the carb. Something like this stuff: |

I ended up throwing out the top of the radio box altogether. It weighs 24 grams Cut the thin edge away and sand it smooth. Then cut thick clear lexan sheet to radio box size and screwed it to the radio box. You save about 20g. Just make sure everything fits in. Futaba R603FS fits just with the servo plugs and Nosram 2200mAh LiPo fits very nicely. |
