As Bren says, check the plastics for wear - either between the 2 halves of plastic or on the tube - if there's been a lot of movement there from a weak spring it'll open up the plastics. I've had issues on my truggy (not xray) which turned out to be the spring going weak after only a handful of meetings - did quite a few gear sets at the Nationals whilst scratching about to get the bits I needed to rebuild the servo saver again! If you wind on too much preload you'll just coil bind the spring and it'll be less effective. |
