XRAY - Model racing cars

Has anyone else had issues with the center diff mounts wearing? My bearings are good, the plastic caps that go on the bearings were new, and the diff mounts were new. I raced this weekend and noticed today the spur gear to clutch bell mesh was very loose. It seems the mounts have opened up! The screws are still tight, but the diff can move left and right in the car. Is there a good fix for this, or should I just replace the parts (again... this is the second time) and hope for the best?

that happens to mine very quickly, no point replacing just use those shims that fit over the outdrives and seat nicely on the outer edge of the bearing.
i have 3 in there up to now to stop the diff from floating.

I use 8X16 bearings left over from my old mugen & have never had this problem in 13-15 gal I have in the car but have replaced the mounts once at the 8 gal mark along with all the other plastic just because I didnt have to spend money on broken parts ever & felt guilty.With the older style large bearings you wont need that plastic shim cup either.Less parts to cary & replace it sounds like but my buddy that uses them never mentioned having problems like that.

Yep, my diff mounts are all flogged out and the diff can "wiggle" from sided to side. It also looks like the bearing covers have been spinning in the mounts at some stage. Never had a siezed bearing though.

done about 3 gallons of fuel and 5 meetings.. still look like new.

have you got the brake pulling to hard and bending the screws or plastics?
