Well, the slow boat finally reached NZ! ![]() I've got my new XT8 almost fully built. So far I've only had 2 problems... First off when assembling the front suspension, I needed two 5.8mm "pillowballs" for the sway bar attachment to the arms. Unfortunately the kit bag had 1x5.8mm and 1x6.8mm. Luckily for me I had some spares. ![]() Here is a photo: And then on to the second problem. According to the parts cross reference spreadsheet found here: The flywheel collar (on line 470) is supposed to be standard(which I thought would be included in the kit). But it was not included in the kit. Once again I luckily had one spare. ![]() Anyway, I really really had fun building the truck! I just cannot wait to get this beast going!!! Unfortunately I have to go away for work this weekend, so I won't be able to finish the truck until after the weekend. ![]() ![]() Well here it is so far: |

just building one up now ![]() only problem so far is one of the gearbox casings is a very slack fit on the bearings for the diff housing..so much so i had to coat the casing with 2 coats of superglue to make the bearing a decent fit otherwise the diff could be moved to and fro meaning the mesh was constantly moving a lot. |
