This is the track we are currently racing-blown out.
It has soft dirt on most places with "rock floor" on a few.
The most difficult part is on the short and long straights where you want to go full throttle but the rear end hits those small bumps and if you let go of the throttle the car "front flips".
The front seems to absorb the ruts better.
We tried soft and hard dampening with the same results.
Are there any setup hints for these kind of tracks?

I didn't ask for a setup...i asked for setup tips/suggestions for these kind of tracks where ruts and small bumps in fast straights tend to flip(front flip) the car over if you let go of the throttle.BUT keep it on throttle makes it hard to control cause the car jumps everywhere.

Hi Chris,
I'm Dotan Halevy from Israel, lookin forward to race with you guys again next month (i was at your track last year).
As for your question, have you tried harder front dampening?
If you still have the original shock piston setup this could be your problem.
Try 1.4 pistons all around.

Hi Dotan
Looking forward to meeting you on the race!!!

As for the setup i currently run 1.4 front and 1.5rear with 450oil all around.
Diffs are 5/7/3
We tried raising the roll center by using the lower roll center holes on both shock towers and this seemed to help the traction on the loose part of the track.

Your thought on the front damping is to be able to raise the nose a bit high and thus leveling with the the rear on those bumps?
I was thinking of going 1.3 in the rear so that it doesn't bottom as much which causes the chassis to hit the bump and flip you over.
Although the bumps are so hard and on fast sections which seem too hard to "overcome".

chris,
yes i was thinking about keeping the nose higher to level with the rear, but it seems that you have already done it with the pistons.
if i understand correct your problem from the last post, and the chassis hits the bumps, you may want to use a stiffer spirng on the rear if it doesnt hurt the traction too much. the suspension will compress less and you have have less chance of hitting the bump. you can also use 1.3 piston on the rear for more pack but that can hurt your handling on the smaller bumps and ruts, if there is such on the track.

Yes there are...RUTS and ruts!!!
I thing i'll keep it as it is and see!
Have you ever tried a long wheelbase...both front forward and rear arms backwards as well as the hubs?

I would lower your diff oils try 3/5/3 it will be better suited to a loose rutted track.

i have never tried longer wheelbase on the front, and for the rear i almost always run short on hub and somtimes arms also, but this is my driving style. anyway changing wheelbase is a quick change and it can help so you should give it a try.
