I can't see any pics Keyser... I assume it's an 808 your on about as I don't think the older version had a wonky mesh, hehe. I set mine up so there is a tiny bit of play between the clutch bell and crown gear, the gears are not supposed to be parallel with each other, as you said there should be a slight angle - I find the quieter the clutch bell when rolling the better - if it is noisey then it could need bedding in a little or the mesh is too tight/loose. Try a peice of paper between both gears to get the mesh, then tighten down the bolts |

Yes it's a XB808,but not the 09' version! My clutchbell is with a angle and i don't know if that's ok,well the train doesn't make much noise and it's very free, but i think with that angle, the bearings will blast! |

The clutch bell is supposed to hit the spur at a slight angle and it won't affect wear much (according to Xray). The whole angled engine setup is mentioned in the manual but I know a lot of people to have missed it assuming it's straight. As long as your engine mounts follow their mounting holes properly you shouldn't need to look at the meshing angle. |

The 808 was designed with the engine & spur slightly out of line & it is ok in this format. Personally i twist the engine so the engine & spur are as close to parallel as possible, in doing this the bearings will last longer & you will get a better life span from the spur & clutch. Bren |

Well that's the problem, i can't put in any other situation/angle without making too much noise (too tight or too lose), so the only way i can put it,for the drivetrain feeling free and without making too much noise is in that position, but it's quite angled and i'm a little afraid the bearings blast! |
