Cool (get it?) ![]() Was it bought or home made? If home made, done a good job! |

I'd imagine the drilling was hard as you drill each fin, trying to keep them level and straight too ![]() So it's 15-20% lighter not 15-20% more performance. Good work though mate ![]() |

I'd like to know how drilled head affects cooling performance? ~50g lighter is a really big thing! If it still cools the engine well it would be a nice modification to consider. Hope someone has compared drilled head vs ordinary head in same conditions. Ok, the new OS Vspec II has lightened head, but it costs a... A LOT ![]() |

i have a ws7 and an os speed and have never had cooling problems with any of them using standard heads on a race tune cant see how this adds any performance |

It has a better cooling effect with more surface exposed to the air. But I think the over all performance gain would be the overall weight reduction of your vehicle. especially because the weight is so high up on your vehicle. There's a reason O.S. and GRP did it to theirs heads. |

OS says about its new V-spec II Engine "18 holes drilled in the heat sink head to increase cooling and lighten weight by 14 grams". Jokersat, did you really get 44g off of your OS? My new VZ-B cooling head (same as yours!) weighs 91g (pluss the 4 screws total of 5g). The 44g off of 91g sounds too good to be true?! |
