Thats where I put my esc also. It just seems to fit well there. Here is a picture on my 808. Also a picture of my EC that was converted before the Mamba Monster was available so I was using a small Tekin esc. Aslo in the same position above the rear center drive shaft. 808 XB8EC |

Hi, Thanks for the replies! Together with someone from the dutch rc forum I'll create some test plates using his cnc machine. I will try to have an additional post to mount to; old hole in de bottemplate where the electronics box used to be bolted. There will also be place for the receiver and the antenna mount will be at the original spot.... I do use reckward tuning bodies and I want to keep using them... so no hassle with scissors etc.... I keep you posted with some pictures from the first evening somewhere in march. regards, vincent |

I think the ESC like this is positioned too high. A big advantage of the BL buggies is their lower CG. And the MMM doesn't need any airflow. If you have an efficient setup the fan doesn't even engage. Mine never does. Here's my setup: Drag-Racing a T-Rex 600 Helo: http://www.modellflug-sursee.ch/Videos/ ... to%202.wmv |
