XRAY - Model racing cars

I bought a used XB8EC and ran it on our local track. I need help with fine tuning it for my track. We are in Monterey CA so the dirt has sand in it, so loomy and since it is a public track we have a few ruts. We do water it sometimes, either way I need to be able to handle the bumps/ruts. The other buggys where fine.

When I would go through the s turn (not nearly as tight as an s) I would hit a rut and the back end would fly up. One time the back end went up and then forward, if I went faster.

The track is not technical, we have one tight turn, but the rest are wide corners, one turn goes up the bank.

The EB8EC has the overdrive in the front as well. here is my setup sheet.



I'm going to also go with the 808 shocks, I heard those work nicely on this buggy but I also need the correct setup.

Sorry I can't help you with the XB8EC, I race an 808. But I see you race in Monterey? Where is there track at? Does it have a web site/schedule? I'm over there all the time with the Wife.

im old so i find it hard to remember ...try drilling your 1.5mm 2 hole pistons out to 1.6 and start at 40w oil all round ......before you spend .

If you're running electric and its a little heavier, I would just run the XRAY light blues instead of the springs in my setup.

As far as for the weight, I was wrong, mine weights 9 lb 12 oz, which makes sense, eclectic are usually about half a pound to 1 pound heavier. If I go with a smaller LIPO pack then I would get is so that it is only 1/2 lb heavier.

Rocco, you have +2 offset, is that because you have the losi wheels? Does that give you a standard offset? I'm running Xray rims.

The camber link location in the front, did you use hole 1 or 2?

For WHEELBASE, I currently have 2 instead of one, what do I gain if I have one in the front?

If you have XRAY rims , run the stock offset because the offset is a little wider.

I like to run my wheelbase long as it smooths out the car and allows it to rotate in the corner.
