Not really doing anything ridiculous when it happens, in fact I can't even really pen point an exact time. Just all at once the truck will only be in front wheel drive and the rear pinion shaft is toast. It's right where it goes through the bearing where it brakes. I'm running composite braces, but had the Hobby Shop order the metal ones along with, yet another, new pinion. I agree the 28 is a bit much, but it's what came in the buggy when I bought it used. It's a beast. How would the two piece motor mount help? The good thing is, it never brakes on race days, it's always 1/2 a tank into practice.
