At Novarossi you need a personal transponder to race but not neccicerily to practice. You can still practice without one just wont get ant times recorded (not that the loop is live all of the time)

As for getting them the only place you can get authentic AMB PT's from is BBK RC but they are not cheap at nearly ?70 each

they do come up for sale from time to time but not very often and when they do they are usually snapped up within minutes.

A company called MRT do clones of PT's and a couple of my mates use these they have never found a problem with them yet.

Get yourself the MRT. They are nearly half the price, don't need to be cloned and are tiny.
