The way I understand it (and I certainly could be wrong) is adding reboud is similar to adding a stiffer spring. The dampning should be the same, but the spring rate would be increased a little. |

+1 daveg. I have found (as has Rocco and others) that the 808 is a little bouncy as is, so too much rebound will only add to this IMO. |

Rocco, in a dusty and bumpy truck, what is the recomendable rebound 50% or 100%. with a 100% of rebound the car is going to be more unestable????? pd: I'M USING Front 600 oil 1.5 pistons and silver springs Rear 350 oil 1.3 pistons and silver springs |

The way I use rebound or understand it is that with rebound the pressure causes the shock to become more progressive as stated above. As the shock is compressed it gets stiffer and wants to rebound or push against compression. When it does this it is forcing more pressure to keep the tire on the ground longer thus creating more traction. Also another bennifit is after a shock is compressed it wants to return or rebound quicker therefore it ready to take another bump, rut, jump, etc. quicker than with 0 rebound. But be careful because if you have to much rebound or pressure built up in the shock it will become bouncy like stated above. I think if you have 25% rebound in the shock that is plenty for just about any situation. |
