XRAY - Model racing cars

I currently use the Ace 1313 so it maybe alittle different but it works perfectly with the Xray supplied futaba servo horn. Ace servos use the same exact spline as a futaba.

I used some 3rd party alu horn for the job. ACE has the same amount of teeth with Futaba, so get few 3rd party alu horns and find which fits best. Maybe Futaba's own alu horn would work also, but they were out of stock everywhere when I was looking for them.

I think I'm using . Had to file off VERY little so the linkage wouldn't touch the servo casing.

I've got 2 DS1015 fitted on my 808 and i use the Futaba horn on both and they works absolutely fine, no play whatsoever.
Also the RC shop who sold me the servos confirmed to me that Ace (Thunder Tiger) and Futaba do have identical spline.

in my experience futaba horns fit but not perfecly, ace spline/teeth are different, i found the ace horn too short so it hit on servo with full lock, you might find with futaba horn your servo goes mad like it has tourettes???
as 4 the throttle i used the spacers from my rc8 which raised it enough so it was all in line?
just my thoughts as ive blown an ace, sanwa, hitec, and thats not fun? lol

I will try Dremelling away the small flanges under the Ace horn later and see how that goes. If I still don't get the space I need then I've got a plan, I will keep you posted.

I just registered me into this forum, because I have an xb808 with ds1015 servos, and the same issue.
I found this discussion by google search.

(I'm sorry for my post and english, but I'm new to the rc world, and also I'm italian)

This post is too old, any news or solutions or other tips to solve the issue?
Maybe I'll use the dremel to the horn.


But I have the same servo also to the sterring. In this case where I can find the right horn?
Because with the servos I have only the gas horn.
The Sterring Futaba horn doesn't fit.
Have I to look for an alumin horn?

i would suggest using what the is said in the post above #the standard horn

this post is 3 years old but i am still using the standard ace horn on steering and throttle the steering one you cut half off and the throttle dremel away the little flanges and place a 2mm shim in to clear the servo case. hope that helps
