Ok, my Vspec has been acting really stupid lately. I felt like the pinch was not tight at all two races ago so I removed one of the two (around .20mm) shimms in the head. go to next races and I kept stalling (never had this issue). It was humid and hot, but nothing super crazy. Change the plug (P3) and it runs ok. The same process repeats again this past weekend. I had to change the plug again (even though the other seemed fine) and it ran just ok. Yesterday I try to practice and the damn thing is stalling every time I hit the throttle more than half way. If I leave the glow charger on it, it's fine. I also recently replaced all fuel lines and the tank just in case of leaks, but I am still getting air bubbles in the fuel line ( I know there are always going to be some). I only have a little shy of 2 gallons through the motor (Byrons) and never keep it hotter than 220's. Any ideas? Why does the compression *** :-) *** so soon? Sorry for the long post! |

if you remove head shims that would contribute to the plugs blowing all the time,have you any wear on the conrod also? dave |

If you use a fuel filter, especially the composite filter, throw him in the trashcan. |
