Thanks for the reply Keith and Rocco, I had considered the negative effects, but I just wanted some feed back. The grease nipple mod may work if I can find a spray version of grahite grease. You could possibly do this mod to the diff housing too. I agree with the locktite on the hinge pins as I always locktite any lock nut. I was concerned drilling a hole and putting a grub screw on would weaken the plastic toe plates. Richmond, I cut the section out of the A arm in my truggy. Allows for more flex, but I have also broken a modified arm too. I have run at about 4 races on an extremely rough track and no more breakages. So I'm 50/50 on this one. All the guys with 808's in my club have cut the A arm straight out of the box. I was also told a Pro driver cut them out on his EC due to binding issues. I will have a look at his 808 in a couple of weeks This is the prime reason why this forum is good - you can thrash out an idea before you do it. ![]() |

Yes Trent, I modded my arms already. However I have the Loctite bottle out now doing some touchups. I have a motor and full radio gear in mine too ![]() Our sales fence rang today to say GRP are out of Promo packs on the engines unless we wait for 6 weeks, but did us the same price on the engine pipe and header anyway. Only problem is we get no pretty box or the hat. NOW Im really mad. You figure it out, GOTECH or GRP with no hat Hmmmmmmm. PS Maybe if Xray made some alloy hubs for front and rear for the 808 we could but the oiling holes for the bearings and not wory about the plastic breaking. Its all about saving time, not just mods for the hell of it. A nice light grease and away you go. Sounds good to me. XT8 Truggy, as long as they are on my tail, thats fine with me. But i'll be all guns blazing if your in front..... |
