XRAY - Model racing cars

My Steering servo (airtronics 357) has been glitching and buggin out like crazy. The wheels will go straight while I am turning, and it was twitching like crazy... what would cause this? My throttle servo is not having this issue.... And is it possible that I fried one of my 1600 Rx pack by charging it at 1.5 amps? The guy at the LHS thought that was the problem with the glitching, but it happens with any battery I use...

It has nothing to do with the charge rate... The higher the rate just means the more voltage, less runtime, and less longevity...

The problem is with the servos. I used to use these and didn't even get a year out of them, just FYI.

Okay- I changed out the 357 servo, and put in my newer 358. It did the same thing, as well as my z590. It is even occuring with two different receivers (spektrum). Are the wires too close or something? I don't get why its bugging out. There is only so much room in that little battery/receiver box...

are you running a pt near the reciever?..i had very similair problem with my pt causing the servo stutter bad and lose range.

try just 1 servo on its own in both the steering and throttle channel on the reciever to see if you can isolate the problem.

With FM PPM the channel 1 is most vulnerable to interferences. So yes, you probably will have most interference on channel 1 and less on other channels. It is because of how the signal is sent in packages and decoded, kinda long story but so it is.

I once had 2 identical analog servos out of one glitched when used with 5-cell... with 4-cell they worked both perfectly. Out of nowhere the bad one made some random movements from time to time. It was strange. Maybe a bad pot or electronics or...

Well I took out both servos and the Rx. I tested the servos outside of the car and they seemed fine. I put the servos back in, and they bugged out. But then I turned the Rx vertically in the radio box and it stopped. I let it sit for like twenty minutes, and no glitching. But I'm not convinced the problem was solved. I'm going to go practice on my local track this weekend, so I guess I will see what happens. I love my DX2.0 but I am really thinking that it could be the problem. I want to get a new radio, but don't have the bread right now and opening day is in 10 days!!!!
