I pop all the seals on the bearings then spray with WD and air compress them clean. I re oil and pack with grease then pop seals back on, works great. I shoot it all over the diffs before I take them apart to remove grease on the ring gear and dirt so that when I open them up no dirt gets inside near the felt gaskets. I have reused those gaskets for atleast 6 diff rebuilds with no leaks as well. What ever you do keep it off your carb and away from the fuel tank lid. It swells O-rings and will ruin them in a hurry. I also do my best to keep it away from the exhaust gaskets as well. Other then that it just makes everything look new again and helps the car clean easier the next time you wash it since after the initial surface dust sticks it doesnt really adhere to the plastic as compared to dry plastic. |
