Here is a simple tank modification that will keep the stock tank from cracking the front mount. Use the splash guard with some angle alumnimum to mount it to the center diff. The chassis flexes too much for the length of the tank causing the tank to crack. This mod elimintates the stress on the tank and mount the tank firmly but with only about a inch of distance of chassis flex. Rob Knasel |

Why would I want to change the handling of the truck just to fix the tank breakage issue. I dont want to remove the flex of the chass from the front I just want the tank not to break. Thank You anyways for the suggestion. Rob Knasel |

LIke Rocco said,, just run the screw down until it contacts the tank bushings, then just a 1/2 to 3/4 turn more. It's going to be a bit floppy on the bushings,,,, but that's the idea. It's a nice tank mod Rob, I hope it works for you. |
