I used the Losi condoms. One disintegrated after two weeks from the heat and the other kept slipping off due to the oil in the CVD. They are too tight and really need to be squeezed on. With the movement and friction heat they come off the CVD and spin around the shafts.
I now use 20mm heavy duty electrical heat shrink. It has a glue in the inside. It has been good for a month between rebuilds. It shrinks down to the correct size and moulds around the step in the CVD securing it well.
I use the dynamite CVD boots for the rear outer wheel CVD's. They keep the dirt out but usually tear after 3-4 races. I just bought some different brand of the same items to see if it last longer.
The front does not fit boots due to the spindle housing.
