Alot of people seem concerned about the carbon fibre parts on the new 808. I do understand the initial concerns, but personally think these 4mm mounts will be just as strong as the trick anodised aluminum ones of the xb8 (plus quite a bit lighter). The main reason xray have incorporated carbon fibre is for weight saving/strength I believe. The xb8 is/was quite a bit heavier than a losi 8ight (debatably the current performance benchmark), hence I understand the need to shave excess baggage. Carbon Fibre is immensly strong, proven in all forms of motorracing, F1 + all forms of RC racing. Its great stuff! I've raced a lot of tricked out RC buggies with these mounts, and never broken a thing.
