What is your clutch setup because I found this practically un-drivable this past weekend.

I have a 48T spur and 13T Bell. I think I need to lean out the low speed on that ninja instead of change gears?? My temp on the engine is 201.. |

I wouldn't go above 280. Right around the 260-270 is the sweet spot, at that point the mills a handfull lol.... |

2 things Hulk - 1) are you sure you are not spinning your wheels? There is absolutely NO way that thing is not a rocket off the line (assuming your tune is good), unless 2) you are way too rich....Ninja's like a leaner LSN then you may be used to...also, my Ninja 21 would not get out of its own way until it was about 230-250 degrees...she liked to run around 260 though....the shape of the cooling head gives different temp readinds then other heads...lean that thing out and you will be good to go.. also, your pipe is spot on, so it is not that....if you get it leaned out and it is still not to your likeing, check your clutch..you may be frying it with all that power |

yes, lean that roach out a bit...you will see a huge difference...as long as you have smoke, you are good..I would run at 240-260 and had a ton of smoke down the straight! Clutch - not sure..I would start with stock and go from there...I do not think an adjustable clutch will hold up (fioroni, etc), but I could be wrong on that. If you lean it out and you still want more bottom (?????), then go with the heavy springs..that will hit harder for you....but honestly, I cannot see you needing to do that...if anything, I would be going with the light springs for a smoother engagement...but, if they slip, you will likely toast the clutch...you may have some eperimenting to do! |
