Post subject: | help with leaking Shocks |
Hi I was changing my shock oil recently and noticed some oil around the shock rod ends on all 4 shocks. i rebuilt the shocks dried everything off and reinstalled them. i rechecked them a week later (without having run the buggy) and after pumping the shocks a few times there was oil on the shafts. its only a very small amount granted, but its there. i got new fr shafts, orings & g-clips & done a total rebuild of the fronts and the dampness is still there. i even gave them to a m8 to build to see if i was doing anything wrong. no difference. this is my first 1/8 buggy, although i'm not new to offroad. i've raced losi & Ae electric buggys for a few years, so i'm used to rebuilding shocks. I never had problems with leaking shocks before & this has be beat atm. one thing i have noticed the original, shafts (& the new ones i got) dont looks as highly polished as the losi/associated shafts i'm used to. anyone any ideas ? thx |
