shock hole piston

Talking with nitrohouse about the Jammins I just bought they told me that 4 hole pistons with heavy oil is the best way to go but its a compromise between shock pack and a sluggish shock.

I suppose this is why Gtsum and some of us are trying the 6 hole pistons with super big bores so that lighter oil can be used but still have pack with out that sluggish compromise.

On my EC shocks I found 1.4x4 with 55/45wt oil to be great using mugen gray springs.

I run nothing BUT conical-hole pistons and I think they're great! For a rough track the conical down (like this / \ ) is the way to go IMHO. It keeps the tire in contact with the track because of the faster rebound. The suspension settles nicely. But that's my experience. That's yet another reason why I run XRay. So much to fiddle with!
