cant say ive had problem your experiencing, but here's a few things to look at what colour orings do you have ? as they should be the black ones. Double check you have shims in correct order. I always oil seals & shaft before building, the felt seal I enlarge the hole very slightly with a tyre hole punch as std's bind. I also oil felt seal my thought is it helps stop dirt going in but also help's to lubricate shaft prior to compressing. Bren |

Its unfortunate but sometimes a rogue part will slip through so its just a process of elimination, shock body seal bore, main piston area, piston or shock shaft. Im at Herts this weekend the 23rd if your their bring it over & will do my best to help. Bren |

shock body seal bore sounds spot on, with a combination of too big o-rings. That would explain why the o-rings out a different packet known to be good, were better but still griped. Thanks, i had to hear it was possible to believe it, i'll see if i can get them swapped. |

Found the problem ![]() Here shows the difference in the o-rings, the ones that came with my new shocks were 2.1mm x 8mm external diameter and too big to actually get the shaft in with the g-clip in place. , the other is part no.971035 is 2mm x 7.44 from my spares. All are unused for measuring. |
