Post subject: | Team Driver Engines |
Hello im new to xray and this site. First i wanted to say that this is a great site and xray makes a very good quality product. I ran a search but i couldnt find what i was looking for. I was wondering on the xb8ec and the xt8 what do you team drivers use as far as engines? i noticed on the galleries that RB seems to be on the pics. I was thinking a modded WS7III for my buggy and idk what for my truggy. any input would be very helpful. Ive always been curious what the pro "team" drivers are using. Thank you |

Check out the setup sheets for engine type, plug, fuel and clutch setups. You'll find many Xray drivers run M5's which is a Novarossi based engine I believe. The C6 is very nice but heavy fuel econo and on the wallet. I personally love the Radical line. 621T for torque and 621P for top end. The XT8 doesn't require a torque motor. The drive train is so light as well as the overall truck that you don't need a torque motor. But if you do, you can always run 14T clutch bell to take the initial torque down a bit. Accelaration is one of the biggest selling points on the XT8 IMO. It comes out of the turns hard! |

Yep a lot of us xray drivers run the Max Power motors. The M5B with the 02002 pipe is a great combo for both the buggy and truggy. It is a great motor and awesome on fuel. Josh Kurth |
