Good call Brian. I didnt think about having two shocks set up so that you can easily change them out. I suppose now that I have all new spare diffs I can do that also which would make it much easier to try different setup while at the track. I have just been going and making due with my changes for that day then if I find some things to try doing them at home for the next day out but its hard to compare changes week to week or now that it has been 3 weeks since I raced. I will snag some at a good price sooner or later so atleast now I know its going to be a long time before we see an updated version. After that active diff says it was tested for 2yrs before being released so we have quite a while. Hey Brian you going this Sat to the toys for tots? I already got my gift and am all rebuilt and ready to go. Check out my setup sheet I have and see what you think for that track. |

OK thanks Brian. I will go back to the 3 deg rear toe but for 1.4x4 pistons I moved up a tinny bit in weight since I felt that perhaps it would help smooth out the ride when it gets bumpy. According to the new AE bottles listed on Bmain 55wt=725cst and 45wt=575cst which seems about right for that size piston dont you think? I know since its cold it may make them feel thicker but I guess I will have to try it out to see. I need to call to see if they are open Friday for practice so I can run it a few times and then come home to make any necessary changes. They did give me a set of M3 bowties so I will use those since all I have are the M2 CF's right now. What I worry about right now are my diff oils because when I first built the buggy I had 755 and it was hard to drive so I switched to 573 which amde it easier. After I practiced with that setup for some time I was trying to push the car a bit more on throttle and it wouldnt let me which resulted in spin outs and loss of control. This is why I made the choice to move back up in diff oils to hopefully make it a bit more agressive so that it will match how I am trying to push it. I havent been able to drive it like this yet so I hope I can go Friday and practice first. Brian, I see you have your diffs pretty light does that help you more? I look forward to any help you can pass my way at the track and I will look for you guys that morning. If you dont recall I have super white hair and ofcourse will be holding by beloved Xray so we should spot each other. |
