Hi Everybody, Just wanted to know your feedback on using black grease at the cvd joints... It seems like a good idea but I would like to know if anybody has any experience with this... Any side effects to the finishing on hudy steel? |

I use Mugen Super Grease on all of my CVD's - I have the GMK condoms over the driveshafts, and the sportwerks CVD covers over the outdrive cvd's, so those keep the grease in, and dirt out. 6 gallons of track time and no issues yet |

I use Eureka Pro llube & Selleys Ezy Glide around the CVDS etc. Spray, and leave for a while..it basically then dries to a teflon finish, and repels the grass etc... I usually do a full strip down after each meet and hit the car with an air compressor anyway, so my buggy is never dirty between race meets. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_inf ... s_id/16859 http://www.selleys.com.au/Selleys-Ezy-G ... fault.aspx |

Maintenance is the best thing anyone could do. My buggy is broke down and rebuilt after every race and shocks/diffs are changed every other race. I never have failures or get DNF race to date. There is no luck in preventing failures at a race since in my opinion its all in how well you maintain your car first then how well you drive second. All I am missing is that last part, lol. For lubes I use WD on my universals then blow it off between heats and use WD again after break downs and hit it with air again. This way parts are all lightly lubricated and wont rust. Between heats I just hit the universals with more WD then blow it off again so they are never ran long being dirty. |
